Consumer Directed Services (CDS) allows recipients of eligible Medicaid Long Term Services and Supports Programs, as well as Veteran Directed Home and Community Based Services, to self-direct and manage their in-home care. Participants act as the employer, providing them with flexibility to recruit, train, manage, and dismiss their own attendants.

The program offers comprehensive financial management services, handling payroll, federal and state employer taxes, quarterly reporting, and human resources support to ensure clients can safely and effectively manage their personalized care plans at home.

Must be a participant in an eligible Texas Medicaid Long Term Services and Supports Program or the Veteran Directed Home and Community Based Services Program.

Services are funded through eligible Medicaid programs or Veterans Affairs benefits.
