The EyeCare America program connects eligible uninsured and underinsured adults 18 and older with local volunteer ophthalmologists who provide a medical eye exam and up to one year of follow-up care for conditions diagnosed during the initial exam. The program does not cover refractions, eyeglass prescriptions, or the cost of eyeglasses.

Medical eye exams and up to one year of follow-up care are provided at no out-of-pocket cost via volunteer physicians. The program does not cover eyeglasses, prescriptions, procedures, surgeries, or medications.
