It's About Connection

Individuals who have never been in a group are often surprised to discover that they truly enjoy the experience and make significant strides they would not have otherwise made in individual therapy. Groups also allow for exponential multiplication of time and energy. Just one week of Innova's group therapy program is equivalent to over 3 months of individual therapy.

Intensive Outpatient Programs

Our Intensive Outpatient (IOP) treatment offers the option of joining from the comfort and privacy of your home on your smartphone or laptop. You will attend group meetings, with no more than 8-12 in a group, for three days a week.

Typically, the program lasts 12 weeks, depending on individual progression. Our team will walk you from your initial phone call to having you join your first meeting, to ensure you always have support.

  • For women, led by women, our goal is to offer support on your journey to recovery using several techniques and methods.
  • For Men, leave our program with less irritability, a greater understanding of how to deal with life's stress, and a more confident sense of self.
  • Teens are more likely to engage in this setting as it feels safe and protected and speaks to their lifestyle.

A dual diagnosis occurs when someone is experiencing both substance use dependency and a mental health condition. When the symptoms of depression, anxiety, or other mental health concerns become overwhelming, people can self-medicate as a means of coping. Conversely, sometimes mental health concerns are developed from long-term substance use. Because of this, it is important to seek treatment at a facility that can treat both substance use disorders as well as a variety of mental health issues. Right Step Hill Country offers that exact kind of help.

There are a variety of options when it comes to substance abuse and mental health treatment. You’ll find therapy to be a key component of any dual diagnosis program.

These therapies include:

  • Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT)
  • Dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT)
  • Experiential therapies

The Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) at Eating Recovery Center empowers patients to take ownership of their recovery and become active participants in their lives. Our Intensive Outpatient program is a flexible eating disorder treatment program that allows patients to work, go to school, or care for children during the day and sleep at home at night.

In IOP, patients are in treatment up to three days per week for up to 9 hours per week. Programming includes nutritional counseling, individual therapy, family therapy, supported meals, and more.

Experienced professionals employ several therapeutic interventions in IOP, including:

  • Family-Centered Treatment
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
  • Cognitive-behavioral treatment (CBT)

The program also incorporates core recovery principles, values, mindfulness, and connectedness.

The IOP can serve as a step-down level of care, helping to foster a positive transition into activities of daily living for adults upon discharging from our Residential or Partial Hospitalization programs. IOP can also be leveraged as a direct-admit level of care for adult patients requiring a higher level of care from an outpatient setting - allowing them to remain engaged with their lives.

Our Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) offers some of the same intensity and structure of Residential eating disorder treatment while providing additional opportunities to practice recovery outside of the controlled eating disorder treatment environment during evenings at home or in peer-supported apartment communities.

Unlike many Partial Hospitalization Programs that only offer 6 hours of eating disorder treatment, 5 days per week, our Partial Hospitalization Program offers patients a full day of treatment, 7 days per week.

By offering a full day of adult eating disorder treatment programming every day of the week, patients are supported through all meals and snacks with ample structure and containment to achieve symptom interruption and/or weight restoration.

Programming in our Partial Hospitalization program emphasizes the development of lifelong recovery skills in a safe, structured, and supportive environment. Supportive Outpatient Programs (SOP) are for those seeking mental rehab or drug rehab, but who also stay at home every night. The main difference between supportive outpatient treatment (SOP) and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) lies in the amount of hours the patient spends at the facility.

Most of the time an outpatient program is designed for someone who has completed an inpatient stay and is looking to continue their growth in recovery. Outpatient is not meant to be the starting point, it is commonly referred to as aftercare.
