Home Improvement Store and Donation Center

The ReStore funds the mission of Habitat for Humanity by selling donated and new home good items directly to the public. As Comal County's only discount home improvement store, the ReStore is an important resource for any home improvement and DIY projects. In addition to providing affordable building and home materials to shoppers, Habitat for Humanity ReStore accepts donations to keep usable materials from landfills, thus contributing to environmental impacts to support sustainability for our future.

We encourage you to stop by and see our “new look” -  a newly renovated and expanded retail sales floor with 30 percent more square footage (to be used for sales floor and donation processing), additional space for parking, and a more efficient drive-thru donation drop-off area.

All the proceeds from the Hope Hospice Thrift Shop go directly to the aid of unfunded/underfunded patients and family grief camps.  

We are happy to offer high-quality merchandise in a friendly atmosphere! Ample parking is available, as well as top-notch customer service.

The mission of the Comal Thrift Shoppe is to provide affordable high-quality clothing, jewelry, housewares, furniture, and more to Comal and surrounding counties so that we may better serve survivors of domestic and sexual violence, women and children experiencing homelessness.

Thanks to a surplus of donations from our wonderful community, the Crisis Center of Comal County is thrilled to announce the launch of the Comal Thrift Shoppe, which opened on September 16th, 2021. Once they arrive, our clients look through and choose everything they may need from our collection of item donations. Then, our staff and volunteers sort through each piece to curate a high-end collection to be housed at the Comal Thrift Shoppe. People are then free to shop the pieces at their leisure and can take pride in knowing that the proceeds from their purchases directly fund our programs and services.

Established in 1985 the GRASP Thrift Store accepts new and gently used items for resale. All net proceeds from the store funds the charitable programs provided by GRASP for needy families in the Greater Randolph area. Donations to the GRASP Thrift Store are tax deductible in accordance with the IRS Code and may be arranged for pick-up by appointment.

Shopping at the GRASP Thrift Store not only saves you money, but provides needed funding for our Community Programs that help our neighbors.

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul offers tangible assistance to those in need on a person-to-person basis. This aid may take the form of intervention, consultation, or often through direct dollar or in-kind service. An essential precept of the Society's work is to provide help while conscientiously maintaining the confidentiality and dignity of those who are served. The Society recognizes that it must also assume a role of advocacy for those who are defenseless or voiceless.

Our financial assistance is on a very limited basis.

The Coker Food Pantry provides food for families in need. The San Antonio Food Bank has designated the Health and Wellness Center at Coker as a large food pantry. 

Approximately 350 families are served through the weekly food distribution. This impacts so many households and frees family resources for other needed expenses.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Valid ID (assists in the application process). 
• Completed application.
• First come, first served (please arrive early).
• Registration starts around 8 AM. 
• Distribution limit.
• Serves all San Antonio zip codes.
