First Baptist Church founded its Christian day school in 1979 by establishing a first grade which later grew until it had established classes through the 8th grade. A nursery school and kindergarten had begun in 1969 establishing a base for the subsequent grades. Today, the Academy ministers to over 400 students – three year old through the 12th grade.
The Academy, three year old through 8th grade, is an out-reach ministry to families in the greater Randolph area and surrounding communities. The purpose of its high school, however, is to disciple young believers as they grow to Christian maturity.
The Academy seeks to supplement, not supplant the parental role and its responsibility. Students are encouraged to appreciate both their Christian and American heritage of freedom and human dignity, a gift from God.
Self-discipline is fostered in students based on respect and reverence to God and all authority. The Academy seeks to teach and guide students into a relationship with Jesus Christ and submission to His authority in their lives.

The MHBC Mother's Day Out program was started in 1979 and provides a well-rounded preschool program for your child in a safe, loving, Christ-centered environment.
Our classes range in age from 4 months to Pre-K. Beginning with our youngest class, we believe that each child is teachable, a sponge waiting to absorb life's truths. Each class curriculum consists of age appropriate preschool skills. Children learn the alphabet, numbers, colors, and shapes.
Our staff members are Christian teachers with a wide range of experience to help your child grow and be challenged. Christ is the center of our program. Each week we share a Bible story with our children. Our goal is to plant the seeds of God's love in every child that comes through our doors. During daily chapel, our children are engaged through a story and singing.

Mother’s Day Out provides a positive God-centered learning environment for your child that lays a foundation of biblical truth and educational basics. When your child attends Mother’s Day Out he or she will experience God’s love daily and they will learn “God made me, God loves me, and Jesus wants to be my friend forever.”
Your child will develop spiritually, physically, mentally, socially, and emotionally through playful learning and interactive lessons. We use two curricula to achieve growth in all areas of your child’s life. Our Bible based lessons are from Orange Curriculum while the educational aspects are pulled from Phase Foundations. This Christ-centered curriculum is age-specific, so you know that your child is understanding what is being taught. Your child will get to dive deeper into God, Jesus, the Bible, church, family, self, others, the natural world, language development, number concepts, pre-reading, and pre-math readiness.

APLC Day School began in 1989 as a two-day a week Mother's Day Out Program. Gradually in the next couple of years, we added new classes and formally changed our name to Abiding Presence Day School. We have grown from a two day program serving 25 children to a four day a week program serving up to 80 children. In 1994, we achieved accreditation through the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), which includes standards of excellence in curriculum, staff-child interactions, parent participation, physical environment, staff qualifications and health and safety.
APLC Day School is one of ten ministries of Abiding Presence Lutheran Church. We are a non-profit, tax-exempt preschool with a Day School Board comprised of parents both church members and non-members. Parent participation is extremely important to the success of our program. We have two fundraisers a year which rely on parent volunteers for their success.
APLC Day School does not discriminate on the basis of sex, race, color, creed, national or ethnic origin with regard to hiring, admissions, administration of its educational policies, or its scholarship program. APLC Day School is willing to work with families of children with special learning and/or physical needs.
